Lady Gaga's Fashion Series, Part 3

Lady Gaga has released her third fashion film in a series of five. They were shot by Inez and Vinoodh and are centered around characters she played in her "You and I" video. The film has no spoken words, it is just set to the song "You and I" and shows some behind the scenes clips of her video of which she must be carried on set along with some scenes against a white background to emulate a photoshoot. This third video is much like a behind the scenes behind her mermaid persona in the video, which I found the most memorable character in the video. Here's the video, I hope you enjoy it!:

Part 3: Haus of U feat. Yuyi

In case you missed the first two parts here is my previous post about them.

What do you think of this part? Do you love it more than the previous ones? Are you excited for what is to come in the fourth? I am!

Happy Birthday, Sophia Loren!

Sophia Loren has turned 77, she is a living fashion/style icon. She was a sex symbol due to her sense of style that showed off a lot of skin which during the 50s and 60s it wasn't that common since they were pretty conservative. She took risks, is elegant and curvy and combined them into a personal style that still is prevalent today. Today, we accentuate your curves while trying to be elegant with showing some skin. If you're into this style for yourself, you can thank Sophia for it because she really showed that curves will always influence your style. Click "Read More" to see more photos of Sophia Loren.

Model of the Week - Edita Vilkevičiūtė

Edita is such a stunning woman. I've always loved her look, she just has that beauty but yet she has that extra something special to her look that I'm just crazy about. There is not much to say about her, her pictures speak for themselves and show you how amazing she just is as a model. Here are some pictures from her portfolio after the jump:

Lady Gaga's Fashion Series, Part 1 and 2

Lady Gaga has released two fashion films in a series of five. They were shot by Inez and Vinoodh and are centered around characters she played in her "You and I" video. The film has no spoken words, it is just set to the song "You and I" while she moving like she would in a fashion motion editorial. I enjoy both videos, the first video is a solo act while in the second video she features some others in it as well. I wonder what the third video will entail, until then here are both the videos:

Part 1: Haus of U feat. Nymph

Part 2: Haus of U feat. Bride

What do you guys think of the fashion series so far? Are you excited for the next part?

Model of the Week - Kate Moss

I decided that for the Model of the Week, I would chose a model icon that is Kate Moss. I decided to choose a model that is inspirational for the day after one of the biggest hits on American soil. That is also the purpose for the picture displayed above to show that great American spirit and pride. Although she has had some personal problems in life she was able to get past them and return to her successful modelling career and was just recently braced the cover of Vogue US September Issue with her new husband. Let's see some of her work from her extensive portfolio after the jump:

Lady Gaga for Harper's Bazaar

Once again Lady Gaga shocks us with a cover, although this time it's not a meat dress or something extremely insane. She went with the most bizarre look of herself for this cover of Harper's Bazaar October 2011, which is a very simple and clean, almost au naturel look. I assume this will be Lady Gaga's costume for Halloween and it wouldn't be a shocker since it would seem like a costume to her. A quote that I found interesting from the accompanying article to her spread in the magazine is ""I think that artifice is the new reality. It's more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I'm wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I'm always the same person inside." To check out the spread and test shots in the magazine shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, look at them after the jump:

Gaga By Gaultier

I was pleasantly surprised to hear about this special that is going to be appear The CW. Lady Gaga never has any questions that is off limits and I can't wait to hear all her thoughts and answers raw. I love Lady Gaga and Jean Paul Gaultier so for them to have an interview together is combining two fashion giants into one. If you know any of Jean Paul Gaultier's work, you know his fashion is very haute couture/avant garde, just like Lady Gaga, so to put these similar minds into one room and one show will give interesting results. Adele Covers Vogue UK

No surprise that Vogue UK would hit up Adele for their October issue. I have to say that she is probably the biggest artist this year, her singles "Rolling In The Deep", "Someone Like You" and "Set Fire to the Rain" can be heard on the radio around the world constantly. Her album 21, spent 12 weeks at the top of Billboard Hot 200, along with topping the UK Albums Chart for 11 weeks straight, which is a record for any solo artist.  21 is the best-selling album of the year along with being the all-time best-selling digital album in both the UK and US. All these accomplishments in only one year has to say a lot about this powerhouse of an artist. Vogue UK did not miss their opportunity to hit up this megastar before next year since this is definitely her year. See more photos from Vogue UK after the jump:

Kiss Me, Kate

Vogue's coveted September issue has been a long awaited issue for me all year. This issue is a huge one in fashion, literally and figuratively. It's probably the largest issue in size and weight each and every year and Anna Wintour believes that the September issue is the issue that fashion sheds it's skin from the previous year and moves a new direction. Being on the cover of this issue is coveted by any model and it's no surprise it goes to one of the most iconic model in fashion, Kate Moss in Alexander McQueen. More after the jump:

Model of the Week - Marloes Horst

This was not an official cover for Vogue Italia, this picture was made by me for Next Top Model: Remake 2 crowning Marloes Horst as the winner.

Last week I featured Lily Donaldson, who was the first winner of Next Top Model: Remake. This week I decided to give a feature to the second winner, who impressed me with her strong photos that featured her diverse look. Marloes is one of those girls that can be either commercial or edgy and excel at both. She was born with a stunning look but she knows how to use it to be in the high fashion industry while being a money maker, I hope to see her go far in the fashion industry and see more from her soon.
