Model of the Week - Lily Donaldson

For this Model Monday, I decided to go with a model that has won a few competitions on the net and has even won over my heart. Lily Donaldson was the winner of my first season of Next Top Model: Remake, showing off her amazing posing skills while still being able to embrace the challenges. After her win on Next Top Model: Remake, I played her in The Next Great Fashion Photo 5 in which I won with her as well. She is a stunning beauty that knows exactly how to make a photograph work. Model of the Week - Hilary Rhoda

Hilary Rhoda has been one of my favorite models for as long as I can recall. She has been the face of Estee Lauder since 2007 and I have seen her advertisement for them in many different magazines. I am a high fashion guy and love the edginess of fashion, Hilary is a commercial type model. It has to say something about her look and photos to really make me love this girl but her pictures are beautifully stunning. I'm so glad to feature her because she has such a great career and going through her pictures it was so hard to pick pictures that I wanted to feature since there are so many to choose from but here are some of the ones I wanted to show are the jump:

Chanel N°19 Poudré

During the weekend, I went to South Coast Plaza here in Orange County, California. I stepped into Saks Fifth Avenue and went into their Chanel beauty boutique. While I was there the saleswoman told me that there is a new fragrance coming out, which is a remake of a previous one. Chanel N°19 was revamped to have Chanel N°19 Poudré, it's a nice lighter scent than the other Chanel perfumes. Above is a picture of me and the tester bottle while I was in the store. She told me that while they have a tester and some samples, it will not be sold to the public until August 19th of this year, which is Coco Chanel's birthday.

Yoü and I - Video Premiere

Lady Gaga's video for her single, Yoü and I, was set for release as her 1,000 tweet on Twitter. The video was released to YouTube at her 999 but was then tweeted with a link to the video as her 1,000th tweet. The cover for the single was Lady Gaga in drag as her alter ego, Jo Calderone, who first appeared in Vogue Hommes Japan. He also makes an appearance in the video. Check out the video after the jump.

America's Next Top Model All-Stars - Preview

This is America's Next Top Model's Cycle 17, the first All-Star season. They decided to bring back fan favorites and the more memorable personalities of the show for another shot at winning. The winner this season will get a spread in Vogue Italia, contract with CoverGirl, an Express fashion campaign and a chance to become a correspondent for Extra. Strange enough is that there is no representation with an agency in the prize, it might be since they are older than the typical models that agencies represent. I find making an all star season this late in the series is a bit of a bad thing since there is a huge age gap between the contestants and it might go against some of the older girls for looking too mature, the ages range from 20 to 33 with a majority being over 25. I believe this season is just there for good television and drama, can't wait to see it and possibly what these past contestants can still bring to photoshoots.

Domenico Dolce (pictured right) was born on August 13, 1958, in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily. He is one half of Dolce&Gabbana, a prominent fashion brand that has it's outfits graced by red carpet goers for years, along with D&G, which is a more casual, urban wear.

Welcome to VO Magazine!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to tell you a bit about myself and what you can expect from my blog. I'm a major magazine collector, I pretty much have hoards of fashion magazines in my room. I decided to somewhat make my own "magazine" with my blog since I wanted it to be a collection of a variety of my interests all in one location. It will mainly focus on fashion, television, movies, music, or interests of mine that pertain to pop culture. I'm hoping to use this blog as a platform to connect to people and allowing them to contribute their thoughts in comments and/or feedback. This experience I hope will open my own horizons into possible new interests.
